Stride Stop

Stride Stop:
One of the two possibilities open to a basketball (external link) player to perform a stopping.

When dribbling with your right hand land first on your right foot ( first contact ) and then put your left foot down in front of it ( second contact ). This bring you to a stop in a stride position.

When dribbling with your left hand land first with your left foot and then put your right foot down in front of it.

Important: in the stride stop the back foot is always the pivot foot.
